That Hochzeitstorte looks so rich and delicious;-)German wedding is unbeatable when it comes to the number of homemade cakes contributed by friends and relatives. There IS a ‘Paradise” on our dear earth.Haha.

I would have driven down to Rhode Island if I had known about your concert there. BSO just finished off their season with Maestro Haitink’s Stravinsky and Beethoven. It ‘s a difficult season for the orchestra without a Music Director and numerous cancellation: Chailly (sick), Andris Nelsons ( family emergency ), Masur ( frail health). The best concert this season was the return of Mr Esa Pekka Salonen after an absence of 25 years. We were all taken by his own violin concerto and the best complete Stravinsky Firebird I have ever heard live. He also conducted a charming and exquisitely timed Le Tombeau de Couperin by Ravel.

Please let me know if you are coming to Boston or New York for a concert!
