As you know Paul travels easily as much as you do and I get to see him far too infrequently and then only for a very very short time. However both he and Neil keep in touch and we all three have an unbroken bond of love and music. It just happens that tomorrow Paul and Mark will pick me up and we are going to Mark’s Mom’s house for brunch. Later in the day Paul has to fly to SF. However, I still have something really wonderful to look forward to…in three weeks Neil is coming here and we will both fly directly first to Paris for one night and then to Provence for a week with Paul and Mark in their lovely house. Neil and I will return to London…he for just three days and I for a week, returning home on August 25. I feel so sad for people who do not have strong family ties, and what you so beautifully express for your son and your lovely wife, who I hope to meet one day, seems to be incorporated into the music you play.
